How to maintain orchids alive

Orchids are one of the most popular plants indoors, but can be surprisingly difficult to care for. Here we share some of our secrets:

1- There are more than 3,000 species of orchids; so it is better to choose an easy going one. Purple Dendrobium Orchid is easy to take care of and frequently found in offices

2- Make sure your orchid has enough light. Other types of orchids that will tolerate low indoor lighting are oncidiums, phalaenopsis, and paphiopedilums.

3- In the wild, orchids grow attached to other plants. The best is to plant them in a nice loose bark they can clutch happily.

4- Orchids hate to have wet roots, so please choose a pot with good drainage.
