How to configure your website to be hosted on Storat at your own domain.

With storat, you can upgrade your profile page to a website at your own domain.

In the instructions below we will show how to configure the DNS records for your website to point at your profile page. Once completed successfully, you will have your own website at your own domain (e.g: www.mycompany.com). If you have an issue or need technical, please send us an email to support@storat.com.

Step 1: Enter your Domain Name in your private Dashboard in Storat.com

Step 2: Create a CNAME DNS record at your domain provider to point www to domain.storat.com and domain forwarding to forward root domain to www.

Detailed Instructions

Step 1: Enter your Domain Name in your private Dashboard in Storat.com

• Visit https://storat.com
• Login by clicking the login/register button at the top right corner of the home page.

• Click Login section, Enter your email and password, and click Login

• Click on Dashboard button on top right corner. This will open configure store page.

• Click on Storat Website link under Configure Store section on the left menu.

• Enter the domain address for your website in the box provided and click Save.

Step 2: Create a CNAME DNS record at your domain provider to point www to domain.storat.com. Also optionally forward the root domain to www.

The instructions below are how to configure DNS record at Godaddy domain provider. The same instructions apply to other domain providers. If you are facing a difficulty in configuring your DNS record or you need help, please send us an email to support@storat.com.

• Go to https://Godaddy.com
• Sign In into your account
• Click on Manage next to DOMAINS

• Click the domain name you want manage under domain list. This will open the Settings Page.
• To forward the root domain to www: Click on Manage next to Forwarding.
• For example, if your domain name is etomtom.com. Add forwarding to https://www.housecare.ae/

Please make sure to keep 301 (Permanent) selected for Redirect type and Forward settings is Forwad Only. Also please make sure that “Update my nameservers and DNS settings to support this change.” Is selected. Click Add to commit the changes.

• To create a CNAME record, Click on DNS Zone File. This will open the zone file to manage DNS

• Click Add Record. This will open Add Zone Record window

• Select CNAME (Alias) from the record type. Then enter the following info in the remaining fields:

Host: www

Points to: domain.storat.com

TTL: ½ hour

Then click Finish button

• Click on Save Changes to commit the changes

That is it! You will have to wait between 5 minutes and 24 hours for the changes to take effect. Now you have a website at your own domain. Time to print it on your business card and share it on your social media accounts to tell the whole world you mean business.
